Pineda de Mar is a picturesque seaside resort on the Costa del Maresme, south of the Costa Brava in Catalonia. It is divided between the old city, with its historic buildings and the Quay Paseo Maritimo where you will find all the traditional bars and restaurants. The resort is well known for its sandy, clean and safe beaches, with great facilities. It is easily accessible, with the Girona airport 45 km away and Barcelona, 55 km away. • Festival and animations – discover the traditions and culture of the Catalan region

Pineda de Mar has many festivals and animations organized during the summer months. The Sardanes with the traditional sardana dancing takes place from the 24^th of June to the 11^th of September. The Sardana is a traditional Spanish dance from the Catalan region, where people dance in a circle, holding hands. The main local festival happens at the end of August and is another opportunity to enjoy traditional dances and gastronomy from the area. The Catalan national day is celebrated on the 11^th of September. Another important event happening late summer is the 7th International Choral and Folk Music Festival, from the 24^th of September to the 1^st of October 2016.
