Our break begins from 1.723 meters high, observing wide fields of Salmanca, Ciudad Rodrigo’s Lands, and Las Hurdes at the foot of Extremadura and Mountain Ranges of Béjar and Gredos.

The village from we can climb to this Crag it is La Alberca, located in the gorgeous Valley of Batuecas .
This population is considered a micro-region of Sierra de Francia, because of isolation, that’s why it has an own microclimate. Was the Spanish village to be considered historic-artistic site, more than seventy years. It is architecture can be well kept from that time so thank for that, today can wander around among local homes raised from stones and geometric wood frames .Walking around La Alberca you could feel that you are in a Jewish quarter , thank of a secret and rambling streets , but there is not only one of small but a big sample of all cultures have cohabited in their streets : Christian , Islamic and Jewish .
But visiting this wonderful corner of Salamanca, also involves discovering it´s nature and environment.

The First one is Camino de las Raíces, where art and nature are joined to the traveler could guess the different footprints from the collective memories of his territory. It consists in a circular path which crosses civilized spaces where it reflects the origins of ancestral culture, plenty of legends and mysteries, grown and kept from popular sayings.
The second route it is in all el Valle de las Batuecas, which takes to visit different shrines, the spread of the whole Valley, although the majorities are destroyed, through forest track and natural paths.
