It is also a place where we can find the most singular museums of Lisbon, such as the Museum of electricity or the National Museum of Carriages.
Without doubts, the more symbolic image of Belem is its Tower and the Bridge of 25th April. The Tower of Belem, had a defensive origin and was used later as the lighthouse of the city, and this let us to have a spectacular panorama of the River Tajo. The bridge reminds us the emblematic Golden Gate of San Francisco. It is the highest suspension bridge in Europe and it is a very representative piece of Lisbon.
