The best fluvial beaches of Spain

Beaches of fresh water, natural pools, manantiales… Spain have a big variety of fluvial beaches and they are ideal to visit at anytime of the year: in summer to cool down and in winter, to contemplate the beautiful view or to make activities. Today we propose 5 of them:

Embalse de San Juan, Madrid

Situated in the Comunidad de Madrid, in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, is considered as the Madrid’s Beach. It was build to stock up the water of the population but it transforms in a place of great beauty where the tourists benefit to bath and realizate activities as swimming, aquatic sky, and windsurf. Lagunas de Ruidera, Ciudad Real

The natural park of Las lagunas de Ruidera is divided into the provinces of Albacete and Ciudad Real and in it is found this big fluvial beach. On a surface of 4.000 hectare are divided 16 lakes that makes a waterfall and torrents that goes from the first spring water that borns from the White lake till arrive to the down lakes and to the swamp of Peñarroya. Counts with a biological diversity and also activity diversity as swimming, canoeing, between both. In addition to this great river beach, know the Cabañeros National Park from Bungalows Mirador de Cabañeros.

Embalse de Alloz, Navarre

It is situated in Navarre, one of the places with more mountain views but with a big amount of rivers and reservoirs. Highlight this fluvial beach, where you can realizate activities as fishing or windsurf between others. Come to enjoy of the Embalse de Alloz from Bungalows Ezcaba.

Lago de Sanabria, Zamora

It is the biggest lake of natural origin  in Spain and famous for the aquatic sports that are practice there, highlighting the dive. It is like a beach including the sand what makes more special this place. Cabañas El Ruso, at less of 5 km from the lake, into a unique environment, it is the perfect establishment if you look for peace and relax.

Arena de San Pedro, Ávila

The Arenal river forms two ponds one for kids and another one more deep for adults. Several reservoirs regulate the depth of each pool. The water is so clear that it is possible to see trouts swimming next to us. The zone is very well conditioner with showers, trampolines, picnic area, etc. Posada del Tietar is ideal if you want to spend the night.
